    Hunting 2021

Same here. Holes per acre in the 80's. Then the coyotes came. Now we have one family at the sawmill. I told Chuck not to borrow under the grain building, and we would get along. He hasn't, but the rats have.

I left both of them next to my barn they were in, gone today, no trace of them. More yotes here than people think. Just because you don't hear them, doesn't mean their not here..... Ed

What Did Ya'll Have For Dinner Tonight?

I know a fellow in Astoria who swears by broken up razor clams in the shell as the best bait for Dungeness, by a huge margin in his words. Me, I like eating razor clams too much to use them for bait...but he lives where digging razors is generally quick and easy, so that's the way he rolls. He...

    How'd it go today?

Someone finally did something with some of my Mesquite slabs. The truck was unloading a tracked skid steer to pull Another tow truck out of the desert.

I had a 125cc four stroke. I tipped it over a few times. The engine was seized. We were just standing on the pegs bouncing it around and managed to roll it. Even in death, it was friggin' dangerous.

Great pics and info. Keep on keeping on, feeding that dragon. Nice litter picking up, from a beach? That pic, did that plastic girdle the trunk and cause the weird growth?

What Did Ya'll Have For Dinner Tonight?

Crabbing is a physically a hard fishery... commercial pots are heavy and lifting them takes a toll on the body. I remember when a friend of mine hooked into a 125 lb. Halibut. At the time we were in my 16 ft. Lund skiff and the fish was too frisky to bring onboard. Fortunately we were close...

A bud I grew up with fished commercially in Alaska for years. He lived in Homer. He hated crabbing. When he was off work he would go out fishing in a skiff. He landed a halibut about 2 feet shorter than the boat he was in.
