My father in law's friends in BC ride BMW's. Adventure bike style. The Douglas's. Nice people. He had a terrible wreck recently. I like all kinds of bikes. I move cows with a TW 200. It looks ridiculous....I dont care!

I road a super tenere 1200 at the Yamaha demo days this year. It was fun to try out. But not for me. Lots of buttons and screens and modes and stuff. Electronic adjustable suspension even. Africa twin. Does sound cool. I gotta admit I kinda poke fun at the adventure bike crowd. All in good fun though. Very practical seeming bikes, I'll grant them that. The other couple we went with he rides a BMW gs750 I think it is?

So, you will probably be shopping for a liter bike then?? Something to do while you wait? Kidding by the way......sort of. I want an Africa Twin. Not because I need one....but its a cool name. The Super Tenere would be cool too. I aint no hot rodder!

No one needs a 14000rpm redline. Some of us just want it. I find myself yearning for more power still. It's a illness and I've got it bad. But I find myself bouncing off the rev limiter more and more often trying for just a little more powah. My wife has forbidden me a 1000cc sportbike. And like most things forbidden.........it just seems more attractive. Reallly though I am very happy with my bike. I still think it's a fantastic model of streetable supersport the f4i. Goes great, looks fantastic, halfways comfortable for a sportbike all in a 18 year old affordable package. I've drooled over some brand new models on the showroom floor but in the 600cc class that's a lot of cheddar for like 20 more horse and a more agressive(translation: less comfortable)riding position. Its gonna be down for a week plus right now waiting for that fuel pressure regulator. Depressing.

I am radared up. But still I could get yanked for any number of violations. :D Bluetoothed to earbuds. Works flawlessly at any speed impossible to miss alerts. New detector filters out all blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise, etc, etc. Minimal false alerts. Incredible range. Still no protection against instant on or laser unless you pick up someone else getting hit first. Yes that is a 14,000rpm redline.

Yeah, red lion rocks. The family has run that damn pump dry sooooooo many times and it lasted about 3 years. This will be my 3rd one due to the same abuse. Kids filling troughs and Katy too. Robs has lasted almost 10 years now.

Haha! Yeah, my buddy had his shallow well jet pump go bad. I tells him to go to fleet and buy a Red Lion. He goes to Amazon and buys a 60 dollar "240" volt pump. It was foreign 240 volt.....no good. He then called to say that he picked one up from Fleet. A red lion pump......

Well, been a busy one here. Finally buttoned up the 4x4 that started leaking tranny fluid. Cooler line broke and I broke the cooler trying to put in a new line. Ordered a new betterer cooler and made the brackets to locate it more sensibly on the passangers side with a gap between it and the condenser. Last owner strapped it to the condenser and the hose clamps rubbed it bad. Finally got the pressure pump I ordered installed this last week. Sponge baths for a week when that broke. No water pressure in the house from the tank. Not reccommended.. Just a trickle from gravity. Robs truck broke something, digging in on that. Finally got the right o rings for the John Deere trans filter. Damn that sux to get in right. Freezer helped, but I bought like ten of the buggers as I destroyed 3 before that. Now I have to order upgrade brakes for the 4x4. It just ate another set of rotors. Da.nDa.n all the weight we shuffle on the hills we do. Love trying to stop a 7500# plus chipper with a moth 1k in the bed on an 8% grades coming into town behind tourist traffic.

Went to the beach, swimming in Niagara river. Think I got sunburned on the backs of my knees. Then went for Cajun food, had a crab cake po boy. Cool restaurant, the family had a restaurant in New Orleans and evacuated during Katrina, they came here to stay with distant family and decided to stay and open another restaurant and sell the old one. http://www.dickandjennysny.com/about-us

Once they pulled me over on my motor bike.... he asked for it all... i only had my license so i showed him that... He said, ok. at least you have a M1 license... he said up to 60% of moto accident victims don't have a m1 license... he let me go with no insurance or registration on me.... i base that on white male privilege, He looked Iranian or Pakistani to me..... Good heavens.

I got to do a day of felling pine saplings on THursday...little stuff, nothing bigger than 16" but on a hillside with a bike track running through and stuck amongst other stuff, and they'd backburned through there a few months ago. It was good to get some felling time, keep my hand in, I got my groundie to do the limbing and crosscutting, then did a tutorial on small tree felling, got her to put about five tiddlers on the ground, straight trees, just enough weight distribution for them to fall, no wind, first time felling for her...she loved it. Give her some more time and practice, she'll be right :)

Yes, I had a friend who had liver cancer, she was asked if she would participate with experimental chemo, she said no. She was already starting to feel like an impersonal lab experiment, the end was inevitable by then and she didn't want to lose her dignity. Tough choice but you have to respect their decision either way.

It is called medical practice for a reason. IMO when signing up for experimental treatments you are helping, the next guy. They are a hail Mary of sorts but a vital step in finding a cure.

Not really... I sorta thought I was helping. Now I think they throw any crazy ole shit at me and see if it sticks. I say put me on the mainstream stuff... see what happens. I'm still doing the deworming thing...
