8 years ago I found a deal for $16 and bought like 20 gallons and regretted not getting more for years!! $19-22 is a steal!

That's what I run mostly now too. Sometimes Lucas synthetic.

~$21/gallon is pretty regular here at Walmart. They're cheaper than the Shell distributor in town.

I use shell rotella T3 diesel oil on all my 7.3's seems to run great, get it for 14/gallon at walmart. I've heard many guys say the synthetic oil should not be run longer than traditional oil. I don't know either way...

Synthetic can definetly go longer. Used oil analysis UOAs support this.

Any oil fired injector engines such as 7.3s run way smoother on synthetic that I've seen. Cold starts are greatly improved with synthetic on such motors.

I run bypass filters on my stuff, I can easily go a year between oil changes.
