That would be my guess. Interesting location. I don't think I've ever seen one that wasn't in a woods.

Me neither. The home is from the 1850’s so the tree could be ancient although I’m sure it’s not quite that old. Maybe this is what an old, single specimen looks like.

How about a pic on the home. I was going to say that tree is ancient if an ironwood, and the 1850's house makes sense now.
