Installing electric brakes

So I wanted to install some brakes on my chipper that has a Torflex axle. The guy at Bandit told me that since it's a non-brake axle, I would have to replace the whole thing. Anyone know a way around this? Is it possible? I have a couple of pics around if they can be of any help. Thanks!

Whoa!!! I was told before that all I had to do was buy backing plates and install and run the wire circuit. Someone will know for sure.

If it has a flange with 4 bolt holes in a square pattern you can mount backing plates.
If not you can weld flanges on but it is a pain to get the alignment right.

You have mounting plates.
So now you will need backing plates and drums/hubs and electrical.

Thats what I tought, why bandit say its a no go is beyond me!
