hello,
i searched the forum but couldn’t find the information..
somebody offered me a hobbs 2000 device with the straight drum and rollerbearing fairlead at the back of the drum for a good price. if i recall correctly, there where rope overlap problems with this design. or did they solve that problem with the bearing?
i quite like the big drum compared to the h2.

also another question, is it possible to change out the drum on the h2?

greetings,
friedrich

The first Hobbs had a wide flat bollard, you could fit a ton of wraps on it.
They would overwrap the rope sometimes but you had to hold the rope “so that it doesn’t overwr@p” keep the wraps spread out not bunched.

Where is the bearing?
