Ditch the boat snap for a trigger snap, they are cheaply available at any hardware store and work perfectly.

I couldn't agree with your more Todd. Ordering this stuff on-line is really difficult to try and get exactly what ya need. I have order two different types of snaps. Either the exact measurement are incorrect, not shown at all or both.

It's a tad too small. In both the eye where the strap goes through and the actual snap ring area. I have to go in person to check these out because it's a total crap shoot to get what I need.
