If I needed to load the trailer all the time, as the truck is just carrying the loader. I would want the loader mounted on the backside of the axle for better reach on the trailer.

Hmm, mount the loader to the front of the trailer and put log bunks on the truck?

Really struggling to see an efficient way to use that thing other than side loading. Won't reach over the cab, or over the back of the trailer.

Right, that is the main issue. Not sure how far forward it will reach but not all the way. The trailer is probably worth the purchase price though

If the trailer and loader are in good shape, write the truck off and build what you want maybe the best approach.

3116 is mechanical, you can turn it up a little pretty easy. Check for boost leaks first though, pretty common

Its auto, im sure that sucks plenty of juice. Heard its not good to play with that motor either.
