Wow, slice and dice!

We used to have a great fisherman here at the forum, named Jeff. Some amazing salt water fish he would pull in from his boat. Too bad he isn't participating here these days. Got hitched I think, stationed up in Alaska now I believe.

Excellent pics. We have some great rivers, but snow melt or cold water spring fed all year round, too darn cold for but a short dip if you don't have a weak heart.

Carp are incredibly hardy fish, maybe why they wreck other populations. They are pretty to watch swim about lazily in garden ponds here, get to know their keepers, and can survive being near frozen in water. Some good eating if you don't mind very sharp boney, a very moist flesh. For people...

It looks to me like the boy is unhappy because he caught the fish, and the adult is holding it up for the photo.

I think that he had a fish's eye view of what it is like to swim out there.
