    Thanks. At one point I was playing around with pop off settings a lot, it was like spring city. My results were inconclusive. That is also a fine line, I believe.

    Al, slight detour but something I've been meaning to ask you. Say you have a modified saw, one that a builder might want to stick a larger carb on to increase performance......with the stock carb, would just raising the metering lever a tad help to increase performance, i.e. more fuel provided...

    Lean condition from an improperly functioning tank vent, as well. It's one that often gets missed.

    Out of carb adjustment is a big problem out there in the everyday world. Maybe that's mainly why they went to those dandy limiters on the screws
