    I see the need for long lanyards, but for what I do day in and day out, an 8 footer works just fine. I like the lanyard in Nate's vid too, cept its committed to the side D, I like the versatility of being able to use it elsewhere if the need arises.

    Assuming your talking about working a spar?..........why not just clip it to a side D and use it as a lanyard? Then you dont need a double ender. Still gives you the D to D connection. What good does your rope do you hanging from an equipment loop?
