The son of our local blacksmith here was taken out by a big wave while surf fishing in the North Coast back in the 80's. They never found the body.

No surfing here. Here is a picture of a boat I used to own. It was a 19 1/2 ft. Malibu Skier I think it was a 1995 or so. 350 chevy motor, would pull up 6 skiers.

I know that cold water for makes for a productive fishing grounds but I'm just saying that "our" ocean isn't all that people friendly IIMO. I love listening to, and watching the surf, espically if it is big. Other than that I'm kind of a big ocean sissy.

The ocean here in SF or Santa Cruz is cold, kind of murky and smells like rotten seaweed.
