I would think the opposite. That any skilled user using the 'advanced technique' of onehanding would have thought long and hard about whether it was 'ok' when first venturing down that path.

Actually I know a guy who cut himself doing that while doing saw maintenance while we were on a hotel job. So I don't really recommend it.
Just have your regular safety meets and put your initials down on it. If someone gets hurt one handing it's going to be a shit show. Just have some documentation that you've discussed it's not an acceptable practice.
