No tests, just observations over many years. They generally end up with the black ooze coming through the bark sporadically then, nearly from every side before dying
We deal with Phytopthera cactorum in our red maples. I was at a client's the other day telling them this is the wrong time of year to use a systemic fungicide. Then it occurred to me that maybe they could use a dormant spray right now and it MAY help. You guys have any thoughts on this?
