    What I hear about carbs is it's better to just buy a new one due to price, and the difficulty of getting carbs fully clean. Wouldn't hurt to to clean them up, and check the rubber. Maybe you'll get lucky?

    You buy a cylinder and piston as a set. Turning it with the sparkplug out will be fairly easy. With the plug in, it should be kinda hard.

    I'm not a gearhead, but the first thing I'd do is pull the mufflers and take a look at the pistons/cylinders. If everything's trashed, I'd likely use Chinesium parts if I just wanted the learning experience working on saws. If they looked good, I'd tear everything down clean it up good, and see...
