I know what prices to expect at various stations/localities. Best bet around here is either wawa or Carroll Independent. When I need gas, I try to hit one of them on my path, and there's usually one or the other on my path.

I wonder how the price you're paying compares to wholesale? You could form a co-op with other small engine users and buy huge quantities at a time to save money.

As opposed to the squealing when it raises a few cents? Gas here is down about $1 from it's peak, which was 20¢ $1(inflation adjusted) more than the previous peak of ~2015. edit: oops

They were always a bit more. Going from memory, I was paying $3.40 when gas was $2.40 down here. From the same station, I think it was the most expensive gas product. It's a mid grade. 91 octane if I remember right, but still more expensive than the corn premium. I could be misremembering also...

I'm going to my PA job tomorrow. I thought it was finished last year, but they need us to set R/W monuments to finish it out, and release the funds. I'll be getting a couple cans of corn free gas while I'm up there, and I'll stop by the sawshop. Curious what it's gonna cost. Gas is about $5/G...

You also have to look at vehicle longevity. Back in the day 100k mile truck was on borrowed time, and ready for the junkyard. It's double that today. Yea, stuff was easier to fix, and the average gearhead could do it themselves in a backyard garage, but parts still cost money, and time isn't...

I don't pay attention to diesel, so I'm not sure what it was historically. Seemed to vary up and down, but always in the ballpark of unleaded. Might be a bit more or less expensive. Last week I noticed it was $6/G with unleaded being $4.30/G at the time.

Same. I read that, and thought "Wonder what my blood type is?". I feel like that's something I should know. Maybe it doesn't matter. Thinking of some kind of accident, and being coherent. Does EMS care if you know your blood type? Is that something they test for anyway regardless of what you say?

They're the best store around, with Sheetz bringing in a respectable 2nd place. Pretty good food, cheap gas, and bathrooms.

I eat out a lot cause of the boss. I always bring food, but he never does, so we eat at restaurants, alternating who pays. I'd usually rather just have what I brought, but restaurants are good too. I don't usually buy snack food from convenience stores, but I do like wawa subs, and stuff like that.

I'm scared to even look to see what corn free gas costs now. I'd like to get to the Amish hardware store and check prices on premix, but that's a long drive, so... I don't even pay for gas, aside from my small engines, but I don't spend other people's money any different than I spend my own...

I haven't noticed too much saw mess with canola, but if I don't use a saw/chain for awhile, it'll be pretty stiff til it starts working again. Chains and nose sprockets. The chain might take a couple tries to get tension adjusted right.

Just pure rapeseed oil.
