This morning I texted to get on the list for another fuel delivery. Fuel prices aren’t fun, but I really enjoy being able to fill up where we park the trucks. Guessing $3k to refill the tank currently, we’ll see when they get out here.

Why so angry? I see these types of comments pop up in social media, but I miss the conversation that brings them on. A factory made to create electricity burning fuel has economies of scale to burn that fuel more efficiently and with less waste the same amount of fossil fuels in thousands of...

Hmm, $122/2300 miles of driving= $.053/mile. If I'd have been able to use the normal charger instead of supercharging for that $45, it'd lower my cost per mile to $.041 I've put a little over 22k miles on electric cars in the past almost 9 months, works out to ~600 miles a week on average.

I said efficient, not miles per gallon ;). The battery holds the equivalent energy as 2.8 gallons of gas, and with my 15k mile average consumption I could drive 280 miles on that amount of energy.... the equivalent to 100mpg. The climate control (three zones, front seats are cooled and...

My grapple truck gets 3.3MPG on average, my hook lift gets 5.5mpg. My car is remarkably efficient.

I hauled 3 loads of debris (~170 yards) 13 miles today burning $111 in diesel at local average pricing. A grapple truck is seemingly the most efficient way to move debris by a decent margin.

Today marks 5 weeks with my bulk fuel tank. According to my ledger I have 787 gallons of diesel left at $4.65/gallon ($.06/gallon of that is BioKleen treatment). ~200 gallons have been burned on road, 80 off road (get the road tax back). This isn't counting the ballpark 80 gallons to currently...

You don’t have to have external containment with a dual wall tank, which mine is. You don’t need receipts to get federal tax credit for diesel burned off road, unless I’ve missed something for a while. I did buy a meter for the tank, it’ll be easier to keep track of my pump vs my mixed fill...

I had a 1k gallon tank delivered yesterday... there's minor savings to be had, but being able to fill up without going to the fuel station is the biggest advantage. rapple truck gets maybe 4mpg and has a 70 gallon fuel tank... a good way to need to go to the truck stop every full work day.

The irony of Nate, being a troll, accusing someone else of being a troll. Carry on, @Maximalist.
