Interesting question about the auto locking. I would argue that the slic pins are auto locking in that the user doesn't have to do anything to lock them like a twist gate. it is true that you have to actually close the Quickie Shackle, but beyond that you actually don't have to do anything to...

My guess is in the next two or three months. It wont be a large batch of them and the cost will be in the $50-$60 range. Which is a lot of money, I know but the larger batches we go, the cheaper they will be become. For what they do compared to whatever else is available, they are well worth...

The fact this shackle works with the HH so well is just a pleasant addition to its intended purpose. It is designed to be a be an extra strong, multi purpose shackle that requires four separate motions to open yet is easy on and easy off. It has advantages of carabiners for many things such as...

I have definitly put people, good competent climbers on srwp and realized that it probably will never work for them. A lot of excelent climbers just dont mesh with Srwp. It works well with my body type and my style of moving around a tree. I climb srwp even on ddrt which is a pain in the ass...

Actually i agree with you 100% tophopper. I am a huge promoter of srt but it will never replace ddrt. That is one of the nice atributes of the hh is that it goes seamlessly between the two. Srt gives a lot of options but it is not for everybody or everytree

I climb ddrt up the tree a lot. It easier for ascending with out a throw line. Alternate lanyard. Srt is better for working once youve reached the top.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXvEwXh1j6Q This is the prototype pin that I sent to Paul. I hopefully will be able to refine the concept a bit. The Dog Bone works well though so Probably not necessary for this application. (by the way Paul, clean out your PM box)

You would think right? I thought the same... if only it were that simple. PCTREE, that looks real cool, cant wait to give it a test drive. Been trying to imagine how it works in my head but can only guess.
