MB is crazy comfortable. Leg pads are a must! Do away with the giant bill board leg patches and add padding. Took two saddles to get correct size. XL is HUGE!!! I wear a 42 jeans and needed a LARGE saddle. AWESOME piece of gear.
Hard when you can't walk in and try things on. Free shipping to me and it only cost me $16 to return Onyx. Definitely worth it and glad I went that route.
The urge overwhelmed me...... I ended up purchasing both saddles but only keeping one. I was able to hang in each one in my basement. Though both saddles are nice. There is NO COMPARISON in comfort. The MB is so superior basically because of the huge back support. Amazing how comfortable it is...
Just purchased a 2017 Onyx. MB is a 4-6 week wait every where and I got the Onyx for a great price. For 2-3 times a month use I think it will serve me well.
The $100 is definitely not a real breaker. The whole decision is a question of comfort. All the extra attachments and such on the MB are irrelevant for my needs. Is the MB belt that much more comfortable than the Onyx? That's my only dilemma.
Is it that much better? Or is it just different? All the attachment points on MB are not something I need. As stated I like the larger padded belt. Is that worth $100 more?? I hate these decisions
I should have also mentioned I am NOT a professional arborist so daily use it will not be. I like the large back pad on MB but maybe too overbuilt for a few times a month use???? A weekend limb cut here and there. Setting up treestands every season For hunting, etc. I CAN ALSO GET AN ONYX FOR...
I am looking to purchase a saddle. I did have an Onyx for a brief moment but was not able to use it at that time. Wondering if I should go with the onyx again or the new MB?? I like the thicker wider belt on the MB. CURIOUS if anyone has knowledge of both. Thanks
