    $508 isn't a horrible price. My pump that went bad was sucking air around the output shaft and was barely measurable .002" the shaft was shot not a seal. So I replaced the pump.

    It depends on the part and how bad it's needed. More than likely your pump can be rebuilt and it will probably be some stupid oring that cost a $1.25 but needs six hours labor to get to it.

    I had that happen to me once on my BC 1400 it was a bad seal on the pump. Replaced the pump and all was good. It didn't leak either just sucked in air.
