Depends on your girl. I would think that should work well for 3/4" and under.

You forgot to add a polished brass cleat. Now that's classy! IMO it really doesn't matter as long as it's solidly mounted to an immovable object, but then again I use a biner bolted to the floor of the shop. Length: bigger would be better so you are knot limited down the road.
