Yeah, that's a good idea. Do you use HRC?

How do you "fix" the ends of an HRC split tail? It won't melt, and tape alone doesn't seem to hold the core and sheath tightly/solidly?? I've been playing around with HRC and a knut and it seems like a great combo so far.
