How do you pre-order them? I thought RE was selling them on a first come, first serve basis? Still trying to find the ideal rope with the one that I have. May try KMIII Max next.

No worries Stig, I won't blow up again...and I am really sorry about that. Yes, I did read through this whole post (took me awhile) and there sure is a lot of great info here. I used the Akimbo in SRT and Dbdt climbing on Sat. Climbing on Cherry Bomb. Went well, but I also have some Sterling...

Probably already been answered, but has anyone tried the Akimbo in a Dbdt rope climbing system?

Was able to get my hands on an Akimbo. Haven't had a chance to read through this whole thread yet, but was wondering what you guys/gals like for lines to use with it and if there are any tips/tricks to pass on? Thanks.

I don't know Burnham. I think you and Stig are both going strong. I just hope that I can continue to climb like you guys when I am in my 60's. Ever since my heart attack 6 months ago, I just don't seem to feel the passion like I used to. Sorry for the derail...I will post more about it later on...

Chill out Stig. I am not trying to invent any kind of imaginary problems. Just hear that from someone who has one and yes its very easy to clean pitch off metal. Like I told Jaime, I WILL be buying one of my own as soon as they come out.

Hey Jaime, I've heard from a user that once the Akimbo gets dirty and filled with any type of pitch, it reacts 100% differently and you have to adjust both bollards. Have you had any experience with this? I haven't used one yet and definitely still plan on purchasing one, I am eagerly waiting...

Glad to hear it. When I get mine, I will be testing it on my own SPRAT workstations that I have setup at my yard. I am also working on getting on the SPRAT sub-committee for the gear section, which may help to open up some minds in the industrial climbing world to the new multiscender tools...

I just like the idea of using both sets of climbing skills to better manage my daily routines with "muscle memory". I know it doesn't really make sense but that is just me :) Most climbers in multiple disciplines tell me that I should keep the methods separate, but I still like the idea of...
