Yes, they sure look similar. It looks a tad more like blight, but just from the pics I have seen. I see brown rot is on the label for Clearys 3336.

Thanks, guys. Definitely looks like fire blight. Now I'm looking for what can be done. We have this on two of our pear trees at home. Jomo, we have an apricot with that gummosis. Fruit is plentiful and delicious, but the bark looks terrible!
