    The MS150 Has Arrived

Both mine are great I have them exhaust modded and a timing advance in one of them. I think the extra life in the modded saws helps to keep the bar groove clean. I read somewhere that on some of them a small piece of plastic...

Ditto. I don't have any problem sharpening that wee chain. Apart from in the early days when I found if you breath out on a file stroke, the file snapped. :)

    The MS150 Has Arrived

Well, I got myself another 150tc the other day. My old one had an issue with the coil lead so it missed the bus bringing all my stuff out to Norway. As I was without for the first couple of weeks I splashed out. I thought the first day to run it stock. Sod that, the minute I got home out...

    The MS150 Has Arrived

Carl, I had exactly the same problem with mine. My theory is because of the exhaust mod and timing advance the saw revs harder with a few more vibes. Hence the loosening of the screw you mentioned.

If that's the case mine should be roughly 3x as bad as that. ;)

    The MS150 Has Arrived

If your running them stock then drill the muffler as previously mentioned. Had mine nearly 3 years now and had the muffler modded since it was in my hands. I had the Timing advanced by 6 degrees by a guy when he was rebuilding and porting my 660. The saw rips even more with the timing...

    The MS150 Has Arrived

Exactly Stig. Any reduction work they are great for. Dare I say it, they are really useful for topping hedges aswell. A lot less fatigue when one handing the saw whilst it is cutting on the horizontal plane. (Shit, did I just say I topped trees and one handed out loud) ;)

    The MS150 Has Arrived

Bummer! I had a new chain pop on me last week. One of the rivets came off and there went the chain. I should take it back really as there is no damage whatsoever to the chain. They do feel so flimsy though.

    The MS150 Has Arrived

Mine is similar but only one hole. I would have thought the one in the pic would be opened up a bit too much.

    The MS150 Has Arrived

I absolutely love mine, had it a long time now and it just gets better. Maximalist, sorry I don't have a picture but will get one tomorrow. I just drilled a 10mm hole in the outer skin. Works a treat, I didn't even have to retune, just did a few cuts, checked the plug and left it at that.

    The MS150 Has Arrived

Well I used mine today and the difference is like night and day. The saw was nicely run in and the hole in the exhaust has just given it that much more poke and pickup. Checked the plug after about 10 minutes of cutting and it was looking sweet, so tuning appears to be correct.

    The MS150 Has Arrived

It is a Spanish Chestnut. There are loads of them in Greenwich park, South East London. I used to live opposite the park, I just liked the look of some of the old gnarly trunks. edit: I do believe it is the same tree as in this blog...

    The MS150 Has Arrived

Been having a couple of non oiling issues with my little 150. Stripped and cleaned the bar and oiler the other day but it was still sporadic. Today I drained and rinsed the tank with a bit of 2 stroke mix and it seems to have finally flushed out the crud that was in there. Result. I also...
