I don't eat fresh water fish. Walleye, yes. But the 2 chaps I was fishing with are nuts over fresh water fish. So, they took all the crappies we caught. When I caught the walleye, I sent it hone with them as well. I still have some walleye in my freezer, and I didn't want to take another home...

Went fishing yesterday. I made dumb faces in every picture. Haha. We took home 35 lbs of jumbo crappies. Let all the smallmouth we caught go. No trophy smallmouth. Perch wouldn't budge. Worked and worked and worked and finally got ol' marble eyes to cooperate at dusk.

How do you get them in the boat without gaffing them?

For what?

We didn't catch any jumbos. My preferred lake to fish we regularly catch them 15-18". I don't think this lake at my house holds them that big.

My buddy eats them. He will batter/bread them up and drop them in peanut oil.
