To be honest I'm not 100% sure exactly where it got caught. Just know it was somewhere close to the bottom. It happened so fast.

I do wear gloves. I think it actually sucked my glove in and that's how it got my finger.

It's no secret that I am a big fan of the ZZ. However, on two different occasions it has pinched the crap out of my fingers. Both times it was my pinky and that was because I had the whole unit in my hand with my thumb on top and my pinky on bottom. As the rope came up it sucked some of the...

a very slight few have had a hairline crack in one spot on the link, but none of them have failed. Even with the crack they perform just as they should, however like with any life support gear a crack equals not using it.

The first generation zigzags did have an issue with the carabiner on the end of your climb line rotating causing it not to be loaded on its major axis. This issue has been corrected in the second generation zigzag. The issue that some people are experiencing with the second generation is a...

Ok guys, I've been using the zigzag for almost 8 months now, so I thought I should follow up with a quick review. My opinion is this is the best piece of equipment one can buy for Ddrt. If you climb SRT or if you switch back and forth from SRT to Ddrt then the zigzag is not for you. But if...

I've now had a couple of months on the zz and so far I love it. The draw back is that you can't take it off midline. That is the one thing that they need to change. Other than that it's awesome. I can't compare it to other mechanical friction devises because I haven't used any others. There...

I have never used any other type of mechanical prusik, but the ZZ does self feed pretty good imo. I can only compare it to using friction cordage so I can say compared to other mechanicals.

Anyone on here used the Zigzag since the recall? I purchased one a few weeks ago and have been experimenting with it slow and low right now. I normally climb Ddrt on a VT friction hitch. The ZZ is definitely smoother but it is also more sensitive than the VT. I'm not happy that I can't...
