    The fatter the stuff in the pockets the quicker the pants wear out, so i like the case single personally. I'm also not a logger way far away from the truck or toolbox, so that plays into it as well.

    At work i use a knife for opening boxes and cutting insulation and stuff, so i have a klien pull thru deal i use, works great for my needs.

    I find a pair of channellocks and an easily sharpened case knife are best for me most of the time vs a Leatherman.     For work knives (boxes and insulation mostly, and some hose) i have a pull thru deal from klien, couple strokes and you're back at it. In the kitchen i have the coarse and fine pull thru thing. Yes you can do better with an actual stone but for the time invested it's fine for my needs.
