    yep cheap chinga one. from those I know who have gotten the cheapie, they ended up either getting the proper stihl one, or messing about with the feet that engage the seals, as some of them were less than adequate to do the job. Some had success, others did not.

    Hmm, nothing comes up in your post Tinyhulk as far as reference to seal pullers. Have a friend who rebuilds saws (I taught him most of what he knows :), ), and he has the stihl seal puller tool, and loves it. I wouldnt recommend the china copy of it tho.

    All good mate, yeah OPE has some great info on saws etc, some good people over there too, as with any group, you get a bit of a mix :). AS has some really good saw techs there too, and you will see them on both forums too. :) Once you get the bits you think you need, lay them out, let us know...

    I would offer that you just go over the saws, find whats wrong, replace what needs replacing, and leave them stock for now, once you gain more experience and have run them, then you can decide on further mods. For now, you have some good advice and suggestions on a way forward, get them running...
