Went for a little blast on the MTB this evening after work. Going well until I fell off and slid down a hill in the mud 😄😄
Definitely more fun staying upright!!
Do you use Komoot? Very cool to plan and shows you elevation and terrain. You can filter in if you want to go MTB, Road, Gravel or hiking etc. Worth a look
Good question. I got the Road bike in lockdown and loved going out and exploring. Never had a road bike before and probably not ridden any bike for 20 years.
I bought the Mountain bike to have something that I could go out with the girls on and found it was quite nice just going out on...
Had my road bike back after spending a day messing about with wheels, freehubs and everything else. Nightmare.
Went out and did 65km. Was great fun and surprised how much I'd missed it after only Mountain biking for a month
It was great weather yesterday so did just under 40km in about an hour and a half. Lovely to be out and about when the sun is shining and all the Daffodils and bulbs are out.
Going to aim for 100 miles in a day over the summer
Magnet in the base section. You can type in the Watts you want to have as a minimum and it automatically brakes to force you to keep pedalling. Its quite clever really for its age. Some of the modern ones are unbelievable but at $1500 they're too expensive for me😄
I was impressed by this and the amount of effort he had to put in to achieve it. If I'm making anywhere near that level of force on a road bike and with a tyre on, the wheel is the least of my problems😄
Starting to get a bit darker in the evenings now so looking like evening rides are out for a little while. Worked out I've done over 1000km since end of June. Happy with that. Not bad for not having ridden any bikes for years
I go and look at jobs on the bike if I can set a few ground rules.
Rule 1. Max 20 miles. Dont want to be wheezing and sweating all around their garden.
Rule 2. Nice day. Dont want it to be raining of miserable if I'm wearing lycra and waddling around garden in clip-in shoes.
Rule 3. Reasonably...
225 miles down so a little bit ahead of schedule for my target of 310. Had to have a couple of days off while a replacement bit came in the post. Back up and running now!
Aiming to see if I can do 310 miles in August just by doing an hour or so an evening. I know its not much compared to proper cyclists but a target is a target!! Just under 70 miles done and we're on day 4! Might just not stop at 310 and see how many I can do!
Will have had my bike for a 4 weeks on Sunday and done just over 350km on it. OCD means I have 50km to do before then to round it up!😄 Hit 45mph on it yesterday!😄
