I'm not familiar with what No Bivy is saying, but take a look at photo #4 on the upper lefthand side. That 'oozing' does indeed look like a canker of some sort ? No Bivy, what is the protocol on treating this ? Also, check the base(s). If they're overburied, they will struggle to fight off...
