Well, you can guess that the Swedes aren't sitting still on this front; they've known of the fuel injected saws being in the pipeline for at least 18 months now, so I would expect a return salvo from the orange H once this hits Stateside.

You would think that they could work out an electric ignition for this, the "i' would double for injection and ignition. No more pull start, just an on/off button.

I guess the most interesting detail is in the "i" -- how does injection compare to a carb? Starting, idling, running... does it subjectively "feel" smoother than a traditional saw with carb?

Ditto that on our 395 (36" bar). We run Oregon chain if spinning our own, or Carlton from the dealer.

Sometimes I sling our Stihl backpack blower with just a single strap, so it is running at a 45 degree angle. Granted, that is just for a quick driveway blow-off or the like, usually under 5 minutes. Extended blow-offs, such as when we drop a crispy dead cottonwood in the street and it shatters...
