FWIW I run 50 ga on a 6 pin and 12 inch bar on my Echos . They get with it pretty well. Power Pruner chains last nigh onto forever since they only run in clean wood normally and seldom get dinged up.

I think that might prove particularly beneficial when using the hedger attachment. In the normal course of pruning I would feel handicapped by the support-The pruner is swung around to different angles, upside down etc. to make proper collar cuts.
