    You just reminded me of something I posted on AS years ago. I've never really needed it as I sharpen at home mostly and carry spare chains but I might need one where I'm going. You can buy them but pretty easy to make.

    I used to have a reliable guy do all my stumps, but he got real busy and put on two others. Then they got unreliable, so I bought my own. It paid for itself in six months. If you buy something the work seems to follow along, has for me anyway.

    Yep, I think they make a bit more than $1.20 an hour.:laughing6: I've dug out a lot of stumps, don't think I've ever spent half that time on one. Cut them higher and pull them with your truck or a winch, or just forget it unless you can sub it to someone with a grinder. Not worth the effort.
