Unless all your're doing is pruning little ornamentals, the Senas are worth every penny two, three, four times over. I'm not a miser, but do watch my pennies. Get 'em. Worlds away from walkie talkies. I just found my walkie talkies the other day. I remember the last job we really used them on...

You are in for a treat!!!! I love jamming to music while doing mindless things, or while cruising around doing skilled but not super skilled things. easy to shut it off and turn it on. I imagine it might be possible to stream broadcast radio somehow over bluetooth with a wifi signal. Anyone...

Sometimes, Erik will go talk and bid a neighbor's job, and I can feed things into his ear, as need be (hangers I can see, recommendations or stats that he might forget in the moment, etc.).

I have to remember to not yell after two weeks of not working. "Oh, yeah, I don't have to yell, sorry." -hanging out side by side with plugs and muffs on.

My pick-up contractor canopy and bed is full. I was able to direct the new groundie right to the hook attachment for the pole without any problem or shouting or delay, without having to even see him, as the hook has a normal hanging spot, crammed in with a bunch of other stuff that hides it. No...

That's cool, Fiddler (Dave, isn't it?). A way to think about crisp, clear communication is that its PPE. Given the choice between the chaps and clear, easy communication, I feel safer with the latter. Frustration is a killer. It distracts one from focusing and using the higher functions of the...

I change between three vehicles all the time. I can more easily take care of mine, I bought them. I have two employees. I'm thinking that a case can also be a stash spot for some energy bars/ trail mix or the like so they have back-up food. I might try some adhesive hooks on the rear windows...

I would like to figure out a good, available box that is just bigger than a helmet, like a rubbermaid bin, into which I can put some foam or the like, and have a good place to store the helmets, maybe run the power wire through a hole for overnight storage without having to keep the box open...

...oh, yeah, is was pissed off that I was going to have to go back to shouting and turning off the saw to hear and having relatively poor communication, and much limited joking around.

I have had a little issue with mine, and figured out a work around. If I have my bluetooth set up, like if I get to the site first and am listening to tunes from my phone, and able to answer the phone, and keeping my ears warm, and another helmet tries to link, or me to them, it doesn't work...

Sure am glad you bumped this thread with that info. I would have kicked my self in the ass if I forgot to charge my new, third comm unit before tomorrow's 3 man job. Everything else on the list can be done in the morning. Long drag that we are going to try to chainsaw-capstan pull. It will...

Justin, I'm so with you. I just ordered a third, and we rarely run a third guy. Partly for the third guy, and partly one for backup, as they are so valuable. I've just heard so much about people being reluctant to use SRT-WP/ HH until they actually get it. Arbor Trolley, Nick B was hesitant at...

Some of the year, sure, hotter. The muffs lift right up. If you have earplugs, with no background noise you could still talk with the crew while the muffs are up. When its not so hot, you can wear plugs or not, under the headsets. Talked to a friend. He almost had his leg cut off recently...
