If you shop around you might just find a boat for sale with a suitable motor cheaper than buying just a motor. Motors are pricey all by themselves but for some reason once you put them on a boat then they get cheaper.

Want me to check around on my fishing forum for a replacement motor? There's several dealer types and boat builders on the site. And many people seem to think vehicles and motors are cheaper down here.

What exactly happened? They can often be rebuilt.

I may have to take my boat out again. I need to go pick up some more two cycle oil for it so it looks like a trip to Wally World is imminent. Maybe I'll take it out tomorrow and see if I can go farther up the river than I did last week.
