Skwishey, in situations like that I'll go to Home Depot and buy them a new mailbox and set it rather than taking a discount on the job price. They will never remember the couple dollars but they will remember where the dent in the mailbox came from every time they see it.

Must be nice where your worst casualty is a barb wire fence. I've broken so much stuff over the years that I can't even begin to remember them all. Simple Green or possibly powdered laundry detergent. Although powdered laundry detergent doesn't have phosphates in it any more so it really doesn't work very well. I'd spend the $10 on a gallon of Simple Green and use as much as you need at full strength.

Bill, if it's that scary then take some time with a throwline before you climb it. I've had a couple where I brushed out almost the entire tree from the ground by throwlining over the ends of the limbs and then snatching them back toward the landing zone. When I couldn't break off any more limbs...

I've never had the opportunity to use a jack to tip a tree before. Although I've found plenty of other ways to screw up! :lol:

I've had so many that I can't even think. Lots of bumps and bruises and broken fences and dented gutters and a few broken windows. They all kind of blur together after a while. Although the time I slipped in a wet pine tree and spiked my leg was pretty bad. Still got quite the scar from that...
