    Shipping is less than $40. Sasquatch bought a couple rolls for me last year because I was in the same boat. I finally found a local dealer who was willing to sell me rolls for just over $300 so I don't need to bother Gary any more.

    Al, I can hook you up. What size chain? I have 3/8", .325" and picco, all in .050 gauge. They always send extra tie straps with every roll so I can spare a bag or two. And no, the Oregon has different size rivets which could possibly cause failure under load. I wouldn't mismatch them.

    Wow, you guys say that as if it's a bad thing. I'd much rather have harder steel in the chain so it lasts longer. Or do you think the chain should be softer so it wears (and dulls) quicker? The spur sprockets on my 200Ts last 6 months or so on my primary saw, a year or more on my backup saws...

    Brendon, anything close to $300 per roll is a good price on the Stihl RS. Oregon chain can be had for $230-$250 per roll. My prices may be a bit dated, haven't looked in a few months now.

    Shop around your local dealers and find a reasonable price on the chain first, Steve. Although since you're on the west coast it should hopefully be easier for you to find it at a reasonable price. For the 200T what you want is the 63PM.

    I prefer the Stihl RS (or even the RSLK square filed). I run full comp on the 24" bars and full skip on the longer bars. There's no noticable difference in cutting speed or performance between the two styles so I'll probably just stick with full skip for everything after I use up that roll of...
