Free market capitalism. Clearly, WaDOT, somewhat gas-tax funded, is not very cheap as a government agency, and also pays living wages and retirements.

Rather than reduce taxes that fund roads, the government should be giving people strategies for increased efficiency. Fill your tires with air. Combine trips. Offer to pick things up at the store for neighbors. Phone-first, before you go to see if what you want is actually available when...

Nothing to apologize for. I didn't know how to spell it until recently. If it was throwing stones about spell checking and formatting, people could offer me some Windex for my glass house. I learn through my own efforts and others' insights and contribyooshuns. This guy that I'm...

fully agree about needing major overhaul. If they started cutting hands of stealing politicians, it would change things. Not meaning it as a snooty Grammer Nazi, but fwiw it's renege. It's not just that source, from what I skimmed. Bad media. One of my childhood memories was a line at the pumps going way out into and down the street. A paper bag sign was taped to the analogue pump. With a permanent marker "Pump shows 1/2 gallon prices". 1979 probably.
