Can you post a link to a picture of such a super muffler. Would it just be like putting it through a small car's muffler, after the saw muffler? Is the muffler needed for two-stroke lubrication, or is that not the case?
I hear tinnitus, ATM. I wear plugs and muffs, often, and generally with anything but a top-handle or 250/261.
Looking at the long-term, I think I should look into molded ear plugs. Do they have a lanyard? Easy to replace after getting the mold made the first time?
Bumper spikes are good, even on a small saw. Helps hold an awkward angle to keep cutting straight, not twisting in the cut minorly, robbing power, heating up.
A framing hammer can tap lightly.
You can bog down an ms880 if you try.
I'm looking at that, too. Which did you get? I'd like a battery saw for my backyard, or help a friend on a Sunday, and general work.
The dogs are cheap. Money well spent, especially when one-handing.
I'll take slower cutting speed for less weight in a top-handle, unless its a speed-related cut (dropping larger limbs). My wrists and elbows feel a lot better, 1-handing.
A sharp 193t with metal dogs goes a long way. I don't work in much hard hardwoods. I didn't get out my 200t for a madrona...
