A journey of a thousand cut down scrub trees begins with a single pull on the starter rope...or something like that.
The area where the saw is looked basically like the background. Those vines on the fence are gone now. The bottom pic is the second load of about that size I've hauled out. Many...
There's no way to avoid it. My septic system - tank and drain field - extends most of the length of my front yard and there are trees blocking any other path to the back yard which can only be accessed from one side of the house.
It still has to be moved to something, and that something still...
Hmm. Looking at video on Youtube they look simple enough to operate and looks like it would be a lot of fun - I can see the mini excavator knocking down some of the growth - I don't think it would be appropriate for the largish trees which are still going to require some sawing - can't just...
My eventual goal is to take it back down to ground level to reclaim the back yard - as in grass. Believe it or not there was lawn here once upon a time. If all this was reduced to mulch surely it would be a foot thick or more...?
I'm sure it wouldn't be. If someone came in with a forestry mulcher the growth would be knocked down but I'd still have a mountain of debris to deal with that would take forever to get cleared out and wouldn't be in a form to make it readily draggable to the curb, or would be an extra expense to...
They are - right to the pull start handle on the saw. Hey I got a saw at the boxmart and providing something for the trash pickup guys to do - doing my bit for the economy!
This gives something of an idea - there's probably a hundred feet or so of this that goes back maybe 40 feet or so at the deepest point - what's not obvious here is that it's mixed in with small to medium-sized trees.
I ended up getting an Echo CS-352, a rear-handle model. I got it instead of...
Wow, that Echo is about 1/3 the weight of my Remington and from what I've seen is still supposed to be a powerful saw. I see the price goes on a steep climb from their slightly heavier models that are still half the weight of my Remington. Definitely weighing options here.
Lol
You don't really want to deprive me of such a character-building experience do you? :smilebox:
Awww man...now you tell me. And the stupid goat ate the receipt. :big-shifty:
This growth is too dense for a pole saw. I get good results using various slashing motions with my current saw to cut through the tangled denseness as well as getting through the thicker tree sections as I go, it would just be great to have a saw that's lighter.
Nah, I'll put out as much as I...
Looking to clear out my overgrown back yard, cut through a bunch of overgrowth - mostly smallish trees tangled with potato vine which involves a lot of holding the saw up higher - kind of like doing constant front dumbbell raises. I've got a Remington Outlaw 46cc saw that runs great but it's a...
