I've noticed on a rusty bolt it will start bubbling at the hole, making it look like it's penetrating. I had some ZEP stuff used to do that.

It's a thinner. Most hardware stores. It's also used for nail polish remover. Just don't mix it with bleach...... :O

I've been using the acetone/tranny fluid mix since I've read this post. FWIW it seems to work pretty good, tested it against pro penetrating fluid and it worked better. I keep it in an eye dropper bottle.
