All have great reviews, IME the O poly takes a while to break in. The HH is a great compact tool, makes me look like I know how to climb. Love it when on spurs, I'll flip up with it and my lanyard at the same time, an easy choke and tend the slack and get cutting.

I like a clove hitch backed up by a few half hitches. I prefer a few wraps for my own peace of mind.

Yes, both ends to the ground. I don't like dragging around a lot of rope on the climb side, just enough for redirects and getting to the ground. I'll base tie only if I can't isolate a TIP easily, then switch over to a canopy if it's a take down. Light prune/rec climb I'll keep the basal.

I just have enough rope for a redirect or two to get to the ground for the climb end. AB and delta, rest of the rope is used to retrieve. In my mind, a redirect can go higher, leaving a "lower canopy anchor", saves me fussin' and fiddlin' and worrin' about suitable a higher TIP.

HH on arbormaster works good, a bit bouncy, 24 strand is leaps ahead better.

Ascend on basal, then tie a canopy anchor, if the tree is sketchy I keep them both. I whipped my hitch cords.

First 2 climbs you will think you wasted your money, keep at it and it will get dialed in.

Vortex is great, cherry bomb is nice, any yale 11.7 has excelent reviews. I'm 200 lbs loaded up. Grippy gloves is a must, especially on the smaller lines.
