    Give me a chance to break down the particulars for you guys, I'm just wingin' it at this point. For the most part these guys are heavy equipment operators, $46 an hour is about right.

    Tree guys have to eat too. Has nothing to do with unions either. It's just about a fair wage.

    crazy huh? It gets even crazier, a bucket operator on a trim crew gets $15.50 :what: I've got two companies battling each other over this prevailing wage crap, looks like it could end up in court.......

    The last two companies to get our large City-wide tree removal contract did it with loaders. Their reasoning is that you pay one guy to load, instead of two or three to chip. The prevailing wage is something like $46/hr, so having one guy instead of three really helps the bottom line.
