I expect to be taken for my word instead of tested. If my word has no value, then i don't want to work with them. I think most people use it as a threat in job offers and only when necessary if people are acting suspicious.

Tree work does, but not people. I can take the misery of tree work any day, but i havd my limit with miserable people. I'd head over for 3 weeks if only you were less than 1000mi away.

I like climbers who can lower stuff themselves. There's a lot of good in that. I don't think I've worked with such a climber though.

I guess it could pay off to remember those giant trees good for rec climbing. Big trees aren't too easy to find around here, but I have 3 6+ft dbh oaks in mind and a group of giant broad cottonwoods.
