    I’m a very quick starter, sometimes too quick. I’m thinking about how we’ll line the trucks up on the way so we’re on it from the get go. The 8.30 to 10.30 (when we have a tea break) is the most important period. Get a good start and the rest of the day falls into place.

    Got brownie points by jet washing the patio and veranda back and front ready for the summer. Prepped the saws and chipper for Monday. Roast beef and a ‘couple’ of glasses of wine. Early to bed (9.15) ready for work.

    Sorry to read about this, tooth pain is amongst the worst I’ve experienced. I have found whisky, gin or any other strong spirits applied to the area a temporary pain relief measure.

    As it goes, I have had a lot of real issues with wrists, elbows and general joint pain over the last couple of weeks. Me being me I’ve been worrying about career ending rheumatism etc. But a bit of dry weather, a couple of days rest et voila! Back in the game (almost) pain free.

    I suppose, im not one to rage against the dying of the light (too much) I’ve had a good run. This was a number of smallish trees ‘granny work’ as my nephew calls it. On bigger, more challenging stuff, the adrenaline seems to pull me through.
