In regards to the accender after playing with it more I believe one side is correctly twisted and the other side is twisted the wrong way. I'm going to get a 3/4 inch sling but the 5/8 is going to be more than enough for now, considering I probably only take 300 lbs chunks at the moment. I do...

Is it just me or does the webbing look as if it was turned the wrong direction before being sewn the eye? Both sides are like that too. I know some items dealing with webbing eyes they have a funny turn in the eye. But to me it seems 180 to 360 off.

What about a little whipping on the eye to make it so the eye would be tight? The manual shows a sling girthed to it. Would a shackle be the way to go? Or should I make a sling with the ropes eye going through the rc2000 eye?

One of the first things I learned about forces is that it all depends on how much it weighs and long it will fall and how fast the load comes to a stop will dictate how much force the rigging system will see. That's why letting it run is such a big deal around here. If you can slow a log to a...

On top of that I don't think i will take a piece anywhere close enough to the swl of any of the items of my rigging set up any time in the near future.

I have read at least 20 times about the don't mix the rigging with the climbing, and fortunately I have not crossed the line, yet. Thank you Mike, for saying something because it was the last thing on my mind but its one of those learning moments that is the time that i think it sunk in...

What about if you only use pulleys for a mechanical advantage? Those will ever see is a slow static Pull. I understand not using pulleys that are going to see dynamic forces

So I was contemplating about what set up on a whoopie is the strongest. Just imagine that the soft shackle and the metal one are equally strong.

I agree with using a ground when rigging but the reality is I am currently looking for such side kick. Unfortunately I don't know anyone to fill that position. Would you like to move to tucson to become partners? So untill I can find someone I have to do what I have to do. I regards to the...

And looking at 12 strand eye to eye splices to get 2 foot in length and that is even cutting the bury a hair short. I would need at least 6 foot of rope. I think a Loopie would give me more adjustability and I would be able to fit more tubular webbing on the loope. With 70 inches of rope I made...

The shackles that I take up with me all have a loop of something tied through the pin hole. But I think I came up with a better idea, a snap shackle like in the link. I will just have a roll of some Para cord or something light and small to have it connected to me and let it lay to the ground...

The slings wood be used for light rigging. I saw this video and was like I have to try this. It looks like the beat way to rig limbs the only downside is that you can only rig without getting out of the tree as many slings as you have. So I got 3/8 tenex tec(6100lbs)for 50 cents a foot, 1/2...

@Ryan thank you for sharing. I'm assuming you anchor threw an eye bolt, and then how to do run the line around it? Do you feed the rigging rope threw the other eye bolt? Can you use it mid line attachable?

I could see how you could put those two together but I don't plan on using beanr and slings. I was just showing you guys those steal beanrs. Bcuz most of the arb shops sell steal beanr that 50 plus kn for easy $50 or more. I'm trying to figure out the cheapest yet strongest way to use...

I have been thinking about some rigging techniques and how you use like a nylon webbing endless loop to hook to the limb. Like how you would speed lining Instead of the webbing slings what do you think about making some slings out of tenex? It would be just as strong if not stronger. Connect...
