The position of tank vent hose is pretty important for its function. Too low it will fill with gas and fluids no work same as gas when pressures are to be regulated.

I am confused. The first time it was impulse line as you posted pic of, then tank vent? It was tank vent hose you ordered, nr 10 in the pic? If so I think there is a chance we will need to address this additionally..

Down side of internet dealing is that internet is not good on service or warranty work. This would have cost you nothing at a dealer. And HVA would find out there is a issue to correct if they didn't know.. This with impulse line is serious problem that can lead to saw running lean and cook.

Here is tank vent. On tank in rear of saw. Nr 7 is the vent inserted in tank, nr 89 is the rest of it. You were lucky. Not many saws run without damaging something when impuls line is acting up.

If that is tank vent, were is impulse line.

This is done every were. They spend a lot of money on rebuilding 200's. They even build from parts in some places and that saw is not cheep when done.

It sure is crazy and every bone in the body scream "STOP this nonsense" but it sure is educating. Doing that help to see and understand things in developing saws as well as the settings, many "why this and why that" gets answered. The 444 I ran here was a retired pro saw that I fixed up ready...

If it is set to run right it will not blow up on a tank of fuel. I seen 2 346's that ran WOT for 6 liters of fuel, no load in Husqvarna. Tested a 444 here that was set to perform its best in wood and that one also ran a can of fuel (6L) and I still use it for firewood 8 years later.

Seen saws here that cooked and left the tells that say it was run on straight gas. I kept the gas in a jar and a hour after I put it in the jar it seperated and oil was in bottom. This time it had mixed fuel and run on straight gas anyway.

There are likely a couple more Bulletins than this... T540 sales was stopped before it got out, now I see it is on web page again. That does not mean it is available to order, but chances are higher. ..

No, I don't know the inputs in the curve. I guess it could be figured out somehow but I don't have those 'puter skills. I did talk to the head engineer of the 550 project and got a pretty good explanation of how it worked. He had a bit extra material to show off that went a bit deeper in the...

I think it refers to the parameters set that decide what amount of fuel go out at a given point. Sort of like a diagram... What I found hard to grasp in this is that it has a curve it follows, add info to it each .02sek and adapt curve each time. Sometimes upgrades saws show symptoms of a issue...

Resetting is good after a problem. As they remember settings they get confused when components are changed and settings no work as before. They try to adapt/correct based on previous stored settings and what they "learned". Keep a eye out for faulty runtimes and make sure you reset with fresh...

How many hrs have they run, those you had out and had a look in after? HVA guy's are busy replacing cranks on 560's here all over. Keep cooking...

That is not the main concern. If these ignitions and fuel systems were in a conventional engine it would be a frekking rocket! Bigger concern would be why in the world you want air without fuel or oil in the engine....

When you port it do you reset them or use out of the box saws? How does it react to the curves they are set to follow? Does it make the settings look odd?

Muffler mods cylinder/carb/ignition changes.. I heard a lot. I still think it could be just as easy to make a good saw as a bad one. They know what they are doing... If they quit doing crap that is not doing anyone any good and focus on doing it right hey would do environment a bigger favor...

Ok. Sure you can improve just about anything and get a crappy saw to be tolerable, but then I should not have to pay for developing the saw. If the manufacturer can't get it right, I don't want it. Performance and how environmentally correct it is has no importance if the darn thing won't run.

I really like the 200, but it is getting harder to find now. I have a buddy that sit on a couple more for special custemers, but then I am not sure what to do or say. Not really sure what to suggest now as the newer models are not stepping up to plate. I have not had a chance to try the newer...

Good thing you have a back up then, isn't it? If not you would have to get a saw that worked.
