Oh my! Heck of a mulie.

    HUNTING 2017

Pearl was ten years old. I would let her out for a few minutes at a time Cory but she wouldn't have lasted outside for long. She was used to playing with cats and dogs and had no fear. She seemed to like our walks around town sitting on my shoulder, smelling all the strange smells, seeing the...

    HUNTING 2017

I haven't witnessed it with grays but with flying squirrels, no doubt. Speaking of squirrels, Pearl has passed on. I will miss her.

    HUNTING 2017

Basic is all you need Cory. From what I've seen, most of the mid - low priced cameras work as well as the higher priced ones. I've got several different brands and models but my favorite is the little 10MP Browning Strike Force Sub Micro. It'll take pictures and video if you choose and the...

    HUNTING 2017

Wow, those are some better width shots, he's well over 20, probably 23+. I bet the straight away shot looks pretty awesome.

Double wide! Gotta be 20 inside, that is a great eight.

    HUNTING 2017

I never met a whitetail I didn't like but it's the same in Illinois, those corn belt deer are mighty fine. Iowa is a long way from Oregon, must've been quite a gal.

    HUNTING 2017

I'd just look at it as two bucks vying for the privilege of being first in the freezer. If they want to volunteer it would rude of you not to grant their last wish.

    HUNTING 2017

Yep, cutting the large intestine loose. At one point you can see someone pulling them out from the inside.

    HUNTING 2017

Wow, already open there? Go kill us another record book blacktail Willie. A couple of weeks to go here. I had to get my cameras out of the woods for a few weeks. The timber company contracts with palmetto berry pickers and they sometimes have a hard time telling trail cameras from berries.

    HUNTING 2017

Don't sweat it Jay, we never know what might be going on in a person's life outside this forum. I'm cool with Mick.

    HUNTING 2017

Very well put Jay, it is real life. There's nothing like a hunting (or fishing) camp. The camaraderie, relaxation and anticipation is something that has to be experienced to be understood. Great picture Buddy, you live in some gorgeous, rugged country. If you're ever in the Elk River area and...

    HUNTING 2017

Mick, I don't owe you any explanation and you may not hear it anyway, but out of common courtesy (which has become very uncommon these days), here you go. Trapping was a lot like tree work for me, I got paid to kill some stuff and save other stuff. I've worked for various organizations to trap...

    HUNTING 2017

No salt, just sand. That's what topsoil looks like here Stig. Mick, just curious of your snaring experience. I've released more animals alive and well from snares than you can imagine, from bobcats to old ladies. And by the way, that would not be my choice but that's what the anti-trappers in...

    HUNTING 2017

You and I feel the same way about the yotes Jim. I grew up trapping, it was a real passion and in those days I could make some spending money as well. It was mostly snaring for me, bought aircraft cable by the thousand foot roll. I'd love to see fur prices where they were 35 years ago. I hear...
