Hey I thought I was the only one still using UltraTech. I think I actually prefer it to BeeLine, but they’re pretty close to the same thing. Wonderful cord in my humble opinion, I should get some new ones, mine are pretty old. The durability is incredible.

Sorry if this was already asked and answered, but is the original Runner still being made? If I wanted to get another 20 years out of mine, should I get a few friction plates and pulley rebuild kits now, or is the plan for those to remain available in years to come?

Aside from droppable small parts, needing full finger dexterity to get it on the rope, and the thin little tending point, is there anything else, major or minor, you don’t like about the first gen RR?

Good move sending one to Dave. I trust his reviews and advice. It might not always be glowing recommendations but it will be honest and intelligent feedback from a day to day working climber with a lot of time in the industry.

Sure looks like it’ll take 1/2” or 13mm rope, with room to spare. My hands start hurting after a few hours if I’m pulling myself around on 11mm.
